Brooke is power hungry, ambitious and elegantly brutal in wielding the power he has. He left his ancestral forest home to leave behind the strict rules of Viera society and set out for Mhach in his hunt for more power and freedom for himself. He ends up in the Mhachi army after having proven his mettle and gets tangled in what started as a rivalry with a certain Miqo’te named Saki Fellpool and quickly spiralled into something a lot more personal.
Brooke fought for Mhach in the war of the Magi but died on the battlefield, and Saki sealed his body away before entering his coffin on the Void Ark and falling into a deep slumber.
As he died, Brooke’s soul was violently torn from him and taken by voidsent to the The Thirteenth (aka the Void) where he fought to keep hold over a small domain of his own.
Around 1577 in the 7th Astral era, Saki awakes from his stasis within the Void Ark and sets out to retrieve Brooke’s body and find a way to resurrect him. He eventually succeeds in pulling Brooke’s soul back from the Void and into his body, with the unforseen side effect that Brooke is now somewhat more voidsent than Viera. He manages to maintain his Viera form for the most part, but show some interesting new characteristics (and tentacle-limbs) whenever he fights (or just gets excited, he can control it for the most part). He is also quite pleased with his newfound power and yearns to hone it even more.
